We Invest.

By providing fair and flexible equity and debt capital, we're changing the rules about who gets funding and why so business owners can create wealth for themselves and  their employees.

This is not
business as usual.

People of color, especially women of color, start businesses at higher rates than white people — but they are constrained by structural inequities and often overlooked by mainstream funders.

We partner with, mentor, and invest in underestimated Bay Area entrepreneurs to accelerate great businesses and build an economy that works for all.

our impact

Building wealth at the community level

Since 2012 we’ve accelerated 129 Bay Area businesses and invested over $12M with 84¢ of every dollar going to women or people of color.

“Working with ICA gave me broad tools that allowed me to analyze our company from different angles. It also helped me identify what kind of leader I was and what was my weakness. We really enjoyed the Accelerator and the special relationship with the hands-on ICA team. It is always good to know that there is a team that is willing to have your back.”

— MARIA PALACIO, PROGENY COFFEE
Testimonials

Hear from our Entrepreneurs

“ICA helped us find community-minded banks that were more interested in job creation. We have good partners, and we were fortunate to find them and have them advocate them for us when we stumbled.”

— Matt Kreutz, CEO, Firebrand Artisan Breads
