This Thursday, seven ICA entrepreneurs will pitch their businesses in front of a live online audience of investors, advisors, and community members.

The seven small business founders– six of whom will be pitching live and one via recorded video – have been preparing for this event for weeks – they have honed their pitches, made tweaks to their founding stories, and created their presentation decks with the support of ICA Accelerator design partner, Flight Design. Of course every company has also been engaged with the ICA Accelerator since September, where they focused on building business processes, prepared to raise capital, and focused on building great teams. ‍

The pitches will receive real-time feedback from special guest judges, including John Gough, ICA's Chief Investment Officer and Tim Koide, Principal at Kanoa Ventures.

Here’s what you can expect on the day of:

While the companies will be pitching live at Evolve Oakland, the whole event is digital-only. The seven entrepreneurs who will be pitching, will be adhering to strict social distancing rules, and only essential crew members will be present at the event space to ensure the smooth-running of the pitches and the video stream. The event will be streamed live on YouTube Live and the link will be shared with all registered attendees.

Timing:

We kick off at 10AM with a welcome message from ICA Strategic Program Manager, Caron Gugssa-Howard. After Caron speaks, we jump straight into the pitches from the seven pitching companies. After the pitches, we culminate with brief closing remarks at 11:30. The complete schedule is below.
