Giving Tuesday means something more in 2020.
It is no secret that 2020 has been difficult for all of us. Small businesses are among the hardest hit by the pandemic, and ICA has worked hard to meet the needs of our community of companies. With the partnership of our dedicated funders and supporters, we have rallied to provide the business support, emergency capital, and advising our entrepreneurs need. While uncertainty remains, we are helping our companies weather the storm while keeping our eyes on our vision to build an economy that works for everyone.
One thing is certain: your contributions this December 1st. are more critical than ever. Small businesses rely on ICA’s tailored blend of investment and advising expertise to survive, stabilize, and grow to be strong assets for their owners, create good jobs, and build wealth for employees. And that’s why your direct support is so important.
In response to the pandemic, we deployed $1.2M in emergency capital stabilizing 26 companies so far, and supported 24 small businesses through our newly-launched Resilience Lab Accelerator. And as we provided the support companies needed in the emergency, we continued to provide the coaching, connections, and capital our entrepreneurs have come to expect from ICA: grew our team, engaged 12 new experts who provided 1:1 coaching, served two 16-week cohorts of the ICA Accelerator, and launched a $10M investment fund to expand our reach.
As we remain committed to the needs of our entrepreneurs today, we envision what’s possible tomorrow.
On Giving Tuesday, your donation will be put to immediate use directly in our small business community. With your help, ICA can increase our impact, and support local entrepreneurs through this crisis and beyond. Together we can build a brighter 2021 and work towards our vision of an economy that works for all.
