Dear supporters and friends,

Thank you for your support of ICA’s companies! As we envision what’s possible in 2021, we reflect on the past year.

2020 laid bare the inequities in our economic system and proved devastating to our small business community. Yet it also showed how resilient our companies are. As I wrote in my year-end blog post, this year, we watched our entrepreneurs pivot, make difficult choices, and persevere in the face of adversity.

We are inspired every day by our entrepreneurs. And we are committed to helping our companies recover and rebuild.

2020 was a difficult year, but with your support , we welcomed two new cohorts of the ICA Accelerator, launched a completely new accelerator program in partnership with Kaiser Permanente, and deployed over $1.2M in emergency capital to companies hit by the pandemic. Finally, just last week, we closed our most recent investment: $200,000 in sustainable snack maker, Don Bugito. We also made key hires to grow the capacity of our team to do more. This progress reflects our renewed mission and vision, launched in January 2020, which states our absolute commitment to working for racial and gender equity.

We can’t do this work without our community and we are grateful for your continued support.

While much hard work remains, we are determined to be there for our entrepreneurs and workers as we strive towards our vision of an economy that works for all.
