ABOUT

Langston Hill is the Investment Associate of ICA Fund. Prior to joining ICA, Langston spent his career as a two-time entrepreneur, social impact investor, and former financial professional in the Banking & Credit industry. After graduating from Morehouse College, Langston began his career as a commercial banker at BMO Harris Bank. He then co-founded AdThrill as an HBCU ad-platform, which paid students to watch and rate ads online in order for brands to test sample advertising content. Langston later co-founded Urbanime, which is a culture company that uses the comic book and anime mediums to tell fictional and non-fictional stories centered on Urban Culture. Most recently, he redirected his career of finance and entrepreneurship towards social impact investing in underserved entrepreneurs, joining as a Venture Associate at Fifth Star Funds in Chicago. The experience opened his eyes to the possibilities that CDFIs can have on impacting overlooked communities. The combination of all the experiences have led him to have a deep resonance for the ICA fund mission.  After residing in Chicago for over a decade, Langston is happy to return to his hometown of Oakland, California.

Why I work at ICA

I joined ICA Fund because I believe entrepreneurship is essential for building thriving communities. While America is a land of opportunity, wealth and capital are increasingly concentrated in the hands of a small percentage, leaving many overlooked entrepreneurs without the resources they need to succeed. ICA Fund’s innovative approach to capital access challenges traditional models and provides vital support to those who have been left out. By investing in these entrepreneurs, we can help ensure that more Americans have a fair shot at achieving the American Dream.
